Nearly all the under passes, tunnels and bridges in Seattle have trees and bushes growing on top of them.Another view from outside of Pike Market Place.Approaching Seattle downtown from the interstate.Even the newspaper stands are a palet of color.

One of the things that you will notice very quickly around Seattle and in the downtown area, are numerous hanging
baskets full of flowers.   One area near a parking lot and apartment complex had an automatic sprinkling system hooked up
to keep the flowers watered and looking fresh.

I thought this rather interesting and initially thought they were gutter drain pipes, but in Seattle, apartments and houses have two inch pipes, because the rain is always gentle.Closer examination is showing this to be ornamental. This is taken through the front windshield - Amazon.com Headquarters, Seattle.Large and small hanging backets of flowers adorn both downtown and outside Seattle. They love their animals and particularily their dogs in Seattle.

Seattle folks will hug a tree before they cut it down.  One will notice that all the underpasses, tunnels, bridges
and overpasses will have bushes and trees planted on top of them.  Landscaping is very attractive in and
around the city.

Jeremy (1st photo on left) has been hanging around Seattle for about three years and is originally from
Colorado.  As Jeremy said, "One Winter day I woke up and decided this was enough cold weather
for me and headed for Seattle".

The downtown city park area, which is near the Park Place Market and right on Puget Sound is active
all day long with people either relaxing or sleeping.  Very nice kept area with an occasional cool breeze off the sound .
